Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet Malibu
Chevelle convertible for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The
1972 Chevelle models featured single-unit parking and side marker
lights on the front fenders, set outside a revised twin-bar grille.
All Malibu models had concealed wipers. The base was labeled
Chevelle and included a 2-door Sport Coupe and 4-door Sedan. The
upscale model continued as the Malibu series, including the Sport
Coupe, Sport Sedan, 4-door Sedan and convertible.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl
accompanied by coordinated door panels and a black dash and
carpets. Interior appointments include a column shifter, an
AM/FM/cassette radio, and a cabin heater. The tilting steering
wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level
gauge. An aftermarket Summit Racing tachometer is mounted in a
custom bezel below the dash along with gauges for oil pressure and
voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 9,064 miles, not actual. The
15" Cragar SS wheels are mounted with P235/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial
T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is
handled by front power discs and rear power drums.
The body was refinished in metallic blue with white stripes under
previous ownership. From factory, the vehicle left wearing Antique
white (11). The white convertible power top does work. Features
include a driver-side mirror, bright trim, chrome bumpers, and "350
Malibu" badging.
The turbo-fire 350ci L65 V8 is original to the car and was factory
rated at 165 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft of torque. Power is routed
to the rear wheels through a turbo hydra-matic three-speed
automatic transmission. It now features a single four-barrel carb
with a Summit aluminum intake. We do have the original protecto
plate and owner's manual.
The Chevy will be sold on a clean Arizona title. Call Classic Car
