And with exactly that thought in mind, we left the door slightly open, allowing this Volvo to slip into our showroom! This robust workhorse was produced between 1956 and 1970 and became an international success for Volvo, which developed the model in several versions. A total of 667,332 examples of this type were built, available as a two-door, four-door, and station wagon.
And ours? Without a doubt the most beautiful of them all! An original Netherlands-delivered two-door from 1965. During restoration, it was completely resprayed in its original dark blue colour (Code 96), which perfectly matches the stylish blue interior. Under the bonnet lies the well-known B18 engine with a single Stromberg carburettor, mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive.
