For Sale: 1950 Chevrolet 3100 in San Francisco, California

Vehicle Description

This ’50 Chevy 3100 five-window got a full frame-off freshening. We stripped the body and frame, repainted everything, and dropped in a rebuilt 235ci inline-six. It also got new wiring, rear gears, exhaust, brakes, tires, and glass.

It’s finished in black inside and out and runs a three-speed manual with a 3.55 rear end. Classic two-piece windshield, curved rear corner windows, solid running boards, and a clean wood-lined bed. The 16" painted steel wheels wear chrome caps and Coker Classic whitewalls. It’s been converted to 12 volts and fitted with an aluminum radiator.

The truck shows a little honest wear small dent in the front bumper, a paint blemish on the left front fender, and a couple of scratches on the rear bumper.

Brakes are fresh hydraulic drums all around, and there’s a full-size spare under the bed. Inside, you’ve got a black vinyl bench, painted steel dash, heater, rubber floor mat, and crank windows. Wiring has been updated.

Gauges are original-style with an 80-mph speedo; odometer shows 108 miles (true mileage unknown). The rebuilt 235 Thriftmaster runs a single downdraft carb and the upgraded 12-volt system with a generator. A solid, ready-to-drive old Chevy.
