This 1970 Ford Mustang Grande 2-Door Hardtop is a remarkably
preserved and highly documented survivor, showing just 12,990
original miles. Finished in its factory-correct Medium Lime
Metallic, the car wears its aging with pride-the original paint now
displaying a very cool, honest patina that tells the story of over
five decades of gentle use and careful storage. One of only 652
produced in this color and just 215 ordered through its Denver DSO
with this specific combination of options, it stands out as a rare
and authentic example of the Grande model.
The exterior is complemented by its factory Black Landau Vinyl
Roof, one of only 180 so equipped, giving the Mustang a refined,
upscale appearance. While the paint shows its age in all the right
ways, the car's interior remains exceptionally nice, retaining its
original Ivy Cloth/Vinyl Grande bucket seats, premium trim, and
clean, well-preserved finishes. The cabin is equipped with factory
Deluxe seat belts with a warning light, tinted glass, and an
original AM radio, all of which remain in working and presentable
condition.
Power comes from the numbers-matching 351-2V Cleveland V8, paired
with the factory FMX Select-Shift automatic transmission. The car
retains its factory equipment, including power steering and the
rare E78x14 belted white sidewall tires originally ordered on only
35 Mustang Grandes. According to the Elite Marti Report, this
example was produced on July 2, 1970-sixteen days behind
schedule-and sold new through Marsh Wimbush Inc. in Denver,
Colorado.
With its genuine patina, beautifully preserved interior, extremely
low mileage, and full Marti documentation, this Mustang Grande is
the kind of survivor collectors look for but rarely find. It
remains true to how it left Dearborn in 1970-authentic, unmolested,
and undeniably special.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing,
and/or $240 documentation fees.
