This 1984 Bronco II is a complete, running and driving restoration project. The engine runs well and the drivetrain functions properly. The body and interior are rough and will require cosmetic overhaul. This is not a finished driver. It is a mechanically functional project vehicle priced to reflect its condition.
A remanufactured engine was installed in 2017, and the vehicle has documented maintenance from 2013–2025. Major mechanical components have been addressed over time, providing a solid foundation for restoration.
The short list of the big-ticket work:
2017: Complete remanufactured engine replacement: full kit install including wiring, vacuum lines, gaskets, and port caps (Shifflett’s Auto) ~16k miles since engine replacement
2021: New fuel pump assembly
2024: New battery
2025: Power Brake Booster replaced
2016: Carburetor replaced, seals, and fluids renewed
2015: Alternator replaced
2014: New radiator, timing set, starter, and full brake/rotor flush
2013–2025: Annual oil changes; always maintained and driven lightly and only ethanol free gas since engine replacement
Mastercraft tires (installed 2020), with plenty of tread left.
Mechanical: Strong; engine and drivetrain in great working order, starts easily, runs smoothly, and drives straight.
Body: Solid frame; some bodywork and paint needed (surface rust, cosmetic blemishes, nothing catastrophic).
Interior: Rough but usable. Original Eddie Bauer trim, ready for restoration or custom refresh.
Electrical & Gauges: Functional.
Glass: Intact, no major cracks.
This Bronco II has been kept mechanically sound and driven regularly enough to stay reliable. All maintenance and parts receipts are documented and organized for the buyer.
