Production of the XK140 series commenced in September 1954 and
concluded in January 1957 with a total of 8,937 for all variants.
Manufacturing of the Drop Head Coupe (DHC) began in October 1954
and continued until January 1957, encompassing both right-hand and
left-hand drive models. There were 2,790 DHCs produced in total,
with 480 of them being right-hand drive. Left-hand drive cars had
VINs ranging from 817001 to 819311.
This example, chassis number 818594, features exquisite restoration
from the 2000s and is equipped with an upgraded 5-speed manual
transmission. Balanced and blueprinted, the 3,442cc DOHC inline
six-cylinder engine reportedly produces 240bhp. XK140s that left
the factory in SE specification with the C-type head such as this,
use the 'S' chassis prefix.
The car is finished in timeless silver metallic over dark blue
leather upholstery and matching carpeting. The interior and
exterior condition remain exceptional, and interior wood trim shows
no signs of fading or cracking. Its matching blue soft top is
equally presented in excellent condition. Paint protection film is

carburetors and mindful regular use and maintenance.
