1969 Plymouth Road Runner - B5 Blue, Rust-Free Alabama Car - Day 2
A12 4-Speed Replica
Up for sale is a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, an Alabama-born,
rust-free car with super clean, all-original sheet metal. This is a
true 383 4-speed Road Runner, finished in factory B5 Blue, built as
a Day 2 A12 4-speed replica.
The car is a real Air Grabber car; the complete Air Grabber setup
is included, though it's currently off the car.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a strong 1968 440, built to stock 440-6 (Six
Pack) specs, featuring:
Pump-gas friendly pistons
Stock-lift 440-6 low-profile hydraulic cam
All three carbs recently rebuilt, tuned, and dialed in
New Firecore custom distributor & cap
New spark plug wires
New FBO electronic ignition box
It breathes through headers and Flowmaster mufflers, giving it a
classic muscle-car tone.
Transmission is a 1968 4-speed, backed by the original 8� Sure Grip
rear with 3.23 gears.
The body shows 50,757 original miles, while the drivetrain has only
a few thousand miles since being refreshed. The car runs and drives
excellent - smooth, strong, and reliable.
Body & Interior
Undercoat delete - clean underside with no rust, no scale,
extremely solid
Older paint that still shows well with only minor chips and
scratches
Original St. Louis fender tag is present
Factory AM/FM radio
All electrical components function properly
Original 1969 Sun tach still in place
Interior was originally B5 Blue; now a mix of some black components
with the original blue pieces
The car still retains its original jack assembly, spare tire, and
even the original trunk mat and jack-instruction decal (both
brittle but intact).
This is a damn good Road Runner - the kind you rarely see anymore.
Rust-free, solid, well-built, and mechanically dialed-in with
desirable Day 2 A12 style. A great driver with classic Mopar
attitude and all the right parts.
