INTRODUCTION: Starting with a clean dry car, a body off frame
restoration was performed. Its striking colors grabbed my
attention, the fit and finish impressed me. The upgrades are what
sold me on it.
EXTERIOR: The body is excellent! It is laser straight with no rust
or damage, it is smooth from the rockers to the roof. The hood
ornament was shaved off for a clean look. Repainted in a striking 2
tone combination. The red and the black are both polished to a
glass finish. All of the chrome and trim was replaced or restored.
The rear bumper is a smoothie with no bolts showing. It looks like
all of the glass was replaced too. The weatherstrips and lenses
were replaced. It's rolling proudly on a set of 17 inch American
Racing special edition wheels wrapped in performance tires.
INTERIOR: Professionally restored interior! The seats have custom
cushions and upholstery that fits real nice. The side panels are
custom made too. On the floor it has sound deadener and premium
carpet. The headliner and visors were replaced. The interior metal
trim was repainted. A tilt column was added along with a custom
steering wheel. A gauge cluster was added to monitor the engine's
vitals.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This 302 is spunky! Rebuilt and upgraded with
an aluminum Weiand intake, dual feed Holley carb with electric
choke, Pro Comp electronic ignition and stainless headers. The
front of the motor has a serpentine belt system, power steering,
and upgraded from a generator to an alternator. It is also upgraded
with power brakes and a dual reservoir master cylinder. It runs
cool with an aluminum radiator. An a/c system was started, the
lines are neatly run to the inner fender and it has a condenser.
The engine bay is very tidy, smoothly painted metal.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Underneath the lid and the jamb are painted
slick. Inside is clean metal nicely painted. It has a new mat and
weatherstrip. The battery is relocated to the trunk in a battery
box.
UNDERSIDE: It was body off the frame restored. Upfront it has a
Mustang II suspension with rack & pinion steering. In the back it
has leaf springs with new bushings and new shocks. The brake system
was completely upgraded with discs at all 4 wheels. The fuel system
was replaced including the tank and an addition of an electric fuel
pump. It also has a fresh dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.
Looking up at the motor it is still spotless and has a high torque
starter. The trans is an AOD overdrive automatic. An aluminum
driveshaft leads back to an 8.8 Mustang rear end. The floors look
like pristine metal that was prepped and sprayed in a chip guard
paint. The frame is clean and smooth with new body bushings.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: You have here a really sharp looking custom that has
had a lot of quality restoration. You don't need to break the bank
to have a stand tall car!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
