INTRODUCTION: A rare, classic Corvette with some upgrades! It's had
1 owner the last 19 years, 77,000 miles were documented as original
on the title when he bought it in 2006.
EXTERIOR: Here's a looker! A classic Corvette in tuxedo black with
a silver cove is stunning. The body is in great shape and fits very
nicely. The paint has a very glossy finish with just a few minor
flaws. The chrome and trim looks like most of it was replaced or
restored. The windshield and weatherstrips were replaced. This is a
two top car! The black convertible is in very good shape. The
hardtop was repainted, has excellent trim, weatherstrips, windows,
and white headliner. It has a more aggressive look thanks to the
polished 15 inch Torque Thrust wheels wearing some beefy radial
tires.
INTERIOR: I think the interior looks great! It has a slight patina
indicating it may be an unabused original interior. The 82,000
miles are claimed to be original. The carpet is excellent and has a
set of embroidered mats. The door panels are in excellent shape
including the stainless trim. The dash pads look great too. The
gauges are clean and functional, the original tachometer has a
6,500 redline which is correct for the high horsepower motor. It
also has its correct wonderbar radio and reverse lock out
shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That's a 315hp Fuelie! The 283 has correct
casting numbers, the codes and VIN #s match the car. The fuel
injection unit tag numbers are correct for 1961. It also has the
correct distributor with cables running the tachometer and fuel
injection. It also has ignition shielding and deep groove pulleys.
There are upgrades including an aluminum radiator, coated headers
and a power brake system with dual reservoir master cylinder.
Overall it is a clean and proper engine compartment.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is very clean! It's painted very nicely and
has a fresh mat and weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Its exceptionally clean under the car, the frame is
smooth and not even pitted. The fiberglass floors are clean too.
The steering and suspension has been gone through, it has Delco
shocks. It also has a fresh exhaust system with Dynamax mufflers
and correctly positioned tail pipes. The brake system was redone
and has been upgraded with discs in front, the e-brake is hooked
up. Looking up at the motor it is clean Chevy orange, the fuel
pump, starter and flywheel cover look fresh. It has a correct T10
4-speed transmission and the driveshaft leads back to its correct
1961 rear end.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: I love the car for its looks and condition. The fact it
has the highest horsepower motor available and the numbers on it
match is a big bonus!
