This custom 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was built through a complete
frame-off process involving over 1,500 hours. The body was stripped
for full metalwork, epoxy-primed and coated on the interior floor
with U-Pol Raptor protective liner, with Dynamat insulation added
for sound and heat control. The exterior is finished in Axalta
urethane paint, while the frame, radiator support, inner fenders
and axles are powder-coated. Power comes from a new GM LS3
6.2-liter 430hp engine paired with a 4L70E automatic overdrive
transmission and the original NP205 transfer case. Additional
mechanical equipment includes a stainless-steel exhaust system with
polished headers, Holley Sniper intake and a DeWitts aluminum
radiator. The build uses new old-stock GM axles with front disc
brakes and a posi-traction rear axle. Suspension consists of a
4-inch lift kit with Fox shocks and new 11-leaf springs. The
vehicle is fitted with LED headlights, power steps, a powder-coated
custom steel roll bar with shoulder-harness seatbelts, removable
hardtop and 315/70R17 Goodyear tires mounted on Mickey Thompson
wheels. Interior features include new upholstery, carpet,
weatherstripping, Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital RTX
instrumentation, Bluetooth-capable flatscreen AM/FM stereo and an
Ididit tilt steering column. The build was completed in November
2025 and has fewer than 200 miles since completion.
