This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible is powered by a new
GM LS7 427ci engine rated at 505hp and 470 ft/lbs of torque, paired
with a 4L75E automatic transmission. The vehicle is built on a
powder-coated Art Morrison GT chassis featuring compact independent
rear suspension, Ridetech coilovers with adjustable ride height and
a Wilwood big-brake package. The body was stripped using a plastic
media-blasting process and refinished with Duratec Vinyl Ester
primer and BASF basecoat/clearcoat paint. Interior features include
a complete leather cabin with custom reclining seats, Vintage Air
climate control, Dakota Digital RTX instruments, electric-actuated
hood opener, and a Bluetooth-capable flat-screen AM/FM stereo with
amplifier and subwoofer. Additional equipment includes power
windows, an electric parking brake, LED headlights and a custom
Curtis Speed Equipment wheel set. Fuel delivery is managed by a GM
ZL1 pump in a custom stainless-steel tank, with Kevlar-braided fuel
and transmission lines. Cooling is provided by a custom DeWitts
radiator, and exhaust flows through Ultimate headers with
silver-ceramic coating and a full stainless-steel exhaust system.
The build was completed in September 2025 and has approximately 200
test miles since completion.
