This custom 1971 GMC Jimmy recently had a complete nut-and-bolt
restoration. Thousands of hours went into this no-expense-spared
unique build, with attention to detail throughout. This Jimmy is
powered by a new GM Performance 6.2-liter LS3 engine mated to a
4L80 4-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with an
advanced adapter to support the NP205 transfer case. The body was
stripped, professionally body-worked and then finished in two-tone
Sikkens Orange and white paint laid over a laser-straight body. The
frame was acid-dipped and then powder-coated black. The exterior
features all-new bumpers, trim, emblems, glass and seals. The
suspension features four-wheel disc brakes, Fox shocks, crossover
steering, Red-Head steering box and a 4-inch lift. It has
completely rebuilt front and rear axles with a 3.73 rear ratio and
rides on 18-inch KMC Grenade Crawl machined wheels with 35x12.50
BFGoodrich KM3 tires. Other highlights include a Vintage Air
system, a custom welded exhaust system, stainless-steel brake
lines, Hooker stainless-steel headers, a Performance Rod and Custom
aluminum radiator, a Billet Specialties front drive, custom-made
Wegner Racing billet valve covers, a CPP brake system, a
custom-made air intake, E-Stopp emergency brake, a custom
RetroSound stereo, Sparc steering wheel and Dakota Digital gauges.
This Jimmy has a custom Tobacco leather interior done by the
award-winning Jon Lind. The dash, console steering wheel sun visors
and door panels are wrapped in leather as well to complete the
look. This Jimmy also comes with a completely restored hardtop
finished in white. This show-quality build was done with the best
available parts and a high level of attention to detail. It is a
fresh build with test/tune miles only.
