This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro RS is powered by a built 355ci V8 engine
with 9.5:1 compression, a solid-roller Comp camshaft, World
Products Sportsman II cylinder heads, a Holley Street Avenger
670cfm carburetor with heat-shield kit, Spectre air-box kit and an
Edelbrock performance intake manifold. Additional engine components
include MSD 6AL ignition and Hooker Super Comp headers feeding a
2.5-inch Flowmaster exhaust system. Power is sent through a Tremec
TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission with a Keisler Engineering
installation kit, Lokar shifter, Centerforce dual-friction clutch
and Hays aluminum flywheel to a Chevrolet 8.5-inch 10-bolt rear end
with Yukon 4.11 gears, Dutchman alloy axles and a Mark Williams
Enterprises posi-traction unit. The suspension is equipped with
Vette Brakes and Products springs and sway bars, Carrera shocks and
a polygraphite bushing set for the suspension and body mounts, with
suspension components powder-coated. Braking is handled by SSBC
four-wheel manual disc brakes with semi-metallic pads and EBC front
sport rotors. It rides on RT5 Retro Alloy wheels measuring 17x8
inches in front with 245/45R17 Yokohama Advan Apex V601 tires and
18x9 inches in the rear with 275/40R18 Yokohama Advan Apex V601
tires.
