This custom 1966 International Scout was professionally built by Mecatronica Studio in Salem, OR, and debuted at the 2023 SEMA Show, where it participated in Battle of the Builders. The all-new drivetrain includes a new 7.3-liter Ford Godzilla V8 engine with 500hp and 550 ft/lbs of torque, a new 6R140 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive transfer case to new Dana 44 axles with 4.10 gears, connected by Tom Wood's custom driveshafts. The engine is equipped with a Ford Performance intake, custom cold-air intake and a custom stainless-steel side-exit exhaust. Cooling is handled by a large aluminum radiator for both the engine and transmission. The suspension was 3D-modeled and incorporates a three-link front and four-link rear independent control arm setup with 12-inch-travel Bilstein remote-reservoir coilovers and dual-rate springs, hydraulic bumpstops and RockJock off-road sway bars. The vehicle rides on 17-inch Nomad forged wheels wrapped in 35-inch Kenda Klever R/T tires. Stopping power comes from disc brakes assisted by a Bosch iBooster electronic booster and master cylinder. The Holley accessory drive powers the power-steering system, Power Master alternator and air-conditioning compressor. Exterior features include a CNC-machined billet front grille housing Bronco headlights and an illuminated International logo, custom aluminum front and rear bumpers, an illuminated billet tailgate and custom LED taillights with concealed fuel fill. The billet dashboard is CNC-machined and backlit. The one-off interior is upholstered in Moore & Giles Tidal Blue leather and features Restomod Air climate control, an AiM Motorsports PDM that controls all electronic accessories with resettable fuses, a 10-inch digital dash integrated with the Ford OEM ECU, power windows, a flush-mounted front windshield, wing windows and an aluminum roll cage supporting the bikini top.
