This custom 1968 Jeep Commando is powered by a 383ci stroker GM V8
engine equipped with aluminum heads, long-tube headers, Holley
Sniper EFI fuel injection, aluminum radiator and dual electric
fans. Power is delivered through a 4-speed automatic transmission
and a twin-stick four-wheel-drive system. Additional drivetrain
equipment includes a custom driveshaft and an ECGS front end with
locker. Exhaust is routed through a MagnaFlow system. This Commando
underwent a full frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration. Suspension
upgrades include Fox shocks at all four corners. It is equipped
with power steering, power brakes, Warn lockouts and a custom winch
system. The vehicle rides on 17-inch Method beadlock wheels wrapped
in 35x12.50R17 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, with a matching spare.
Additional features include a custom roll cage, rigid LED lighting,
rock lights, hardtop and professionally applied Rhino lining
throughout the interior. The cabin includes Corbeau seats, a Holley
EFI control box, center-mounted gauge package and custom auxiliary
switch panel.
