This 1970 Ford Torino GT SportsRoof is a one-of-one example of a
J-Code Drag Pack. It received a full ground-up restoration in 2004
and remains finished in correct Calypso Coral with laser stripes.
It is powered by a rebuilt date-code-correct factory replacement
block 429ci Super Cobra Jet four-bolt main V8 engine with ported
and polished heads, Lunati camshaft, MSD 6 Series ignition and a
custom 2.5-inch exhaust system with 3-inch mufflers, backed by a
date-code-correct Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and a 3.50
rear axle. It is equipped with the "Shelby Drop" suspension
modification for improved stance and handling traction bars. The
interior features a ribbon tach, reupholstered front bucket seats,
new carpet, headliner and a professionally restored period-correct
AM/FM stereo with correct speakers and grilles. Documentation
includes the original Build Sheet, Marti Report, all invoices and a
CD with bodywork photos. Owned by the seller since 1976. Included
with the sale is the original 3.91 Traction-Lok rear end and a car
cover. 61,759 miles (title reads exempt).
