This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster is powered by a 4.2-liter
6-cylinder engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and a
rebuilt rear end. This roadster is the No. 215 of approximately
1,508 produced worldwide that year. In 2016, the cooling system,
ignition, engine and IRS cage mounts, gaskets, seals, gas tank,
belts, hoses and lubrication were all replaced or upgraded. In
2018, a full restoration was completed by Michaelian Restoration
Inc. of Stuart, FL, including body, paint, glass, chrome, leather
interior, convertible top and boot. This E-Type was built during
the final months of Series 1 production and delivered without
glass-covered headlights as required by late-1967 U.S. safety
regulations. It is finished in classic style with polished wire
wheels and period-correct detailing. Documentation includes all
invoices since purchase and a Rockbill Concert Advertising brochure
featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Daryl Hall and John Oates
photographed with this car. A total investment of nearly $195,000
accompanies this XKE.
