This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible is powered by a
6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine producing 540hp, paired with a GM 4L65E
4-speed automatic transmission rated for 650hp. The engine features
a polished 8-stack air intake, finned valve covers, a polished
radiator and ceramic-coated headers that feed a dual-side-pipe
exhaust system. The smoothed engine bay is detailed with polished
accents throughout. Built on a Street Shop frame with powder-coated
Art Morrison rails finished in Accent Silver, the car rides on a
complete Corvette C7 independent suspension with multi-position
adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by Corvette C7 calipers
with 14-inch slotted rotors. It rolls on 19-inch Corvette wheels
wrapped in Diamond Back performance red line tires. Additional
features include a Dakota Digital-actuated hood, Detroit Speed
powered headlights and a modern wiper control system. The body was
stripped to bare fiberglass, refinished in custom Slate Gray paint
and fitted with widened rear arches, new glass, exterior chrome,
weatherstripping and trim. It is topped with a new Coffman Corvette
matching soft-top. The custom burgundy red interior, crafted by
Jay's Hot Rod Upholstery, features low-profile contoured seats and
a suite of modern amenities, including a Vintage Air
climate-control system, power steering, power hood, E-Stopp
electric parking brake, Classic Instruments gauges, power windows
and electric power brakes. Additional touches include a remote
battery cutoff and a Bluetooth RetroSound stereo compatible with
iPhone and Android devices.
