This 1969 Shelby GT500 fastback, Serial No. 0885, is a heavily
documented original car. It is one of 1,157 built for the model
year. Under the hood, this GT500 is powered by a 428 Cobra Jet V8
engine. Power is transferred through an original 4-speed
close-ratio manual transmission to the original 3.50:1 Traction-Lok
rear differential. The undercarriage remains unrestored and
authentic, with factory finishes intact. This Colorado-based GT500
presents some original paint with gold GT500 side stripes, with
excellent body panel fitment and gap alignment. All Carlite-stamped
glass is original, and the interior is also original and
well-preserved, including the bucket seats, door panels, dash,
carpet and trim. The trunk compartment remains unrestored with its
original mat, spare tire and tools. Built on February 7, 1969, this
GT500 was ordered with a Candy Apple Red exterior and black Clarion
knit/Corinthian vinyl high-back bucket seats. Factory options
include the 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission, 3.50:1
Traction-Lok differential, tachometer and trip odometer, Goodyear
tires, sport deck rear seat, deluxe seat belts with warning light,
power steering, power front disc brakes and AM radio. Per the SAAC
Shelby Registry, the car was initially shipped to Courtesy Ford in
Littleton, CO. The first identified owner was Charles H. Fowler of
Longmont, CO. The car retains its original Ford VIN Tag, Door Data
Plate Tag, Shelby Tag and dealer branding script. Documentation
