This 1969 Ford Mustang custom fastback is powered by a Ford 429ci
block (bored .030 over) with Jon Kaase "Boss Nine" upgrades,
including an Eagle crankshaft and connecting rods, custom Diamond
forged pistons, Crane cam and hydraulic lifters, Trend pushrods,
Boss Nine heads and a Kaase stack injection intake with Borla TWM
throttle bodies and FAST electronic fuel injection. Power is sent
through a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic
clutch to a Ford 9-inch rear end with a Heidts four-link. The
chassis features a Mustang to Fear front subframe, a Heidts Mustang
II-style front end with tubular control arms, front sway bar, power
rack & pinion steering, QA1 coilovers and Wilwood four-wheel disc
brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors. It rides on 17-inch
Magnum 500-style wheels with 245/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The
car is finished in Deep Black over a Spies Hecker FP2003 base and
8180 clear, applied after a full strip and repaint in 2020.
Exterior features include grille lights, LED lighting, Kindig-It
flush door handles, a custom hood with Eddie Motorsports flush
hinges, hood scoop, customized rear bumper, side scoops and
integrated dual exhaust exits. The interior was reupholstered in
Black Symphony suede with white stitching and features bucket
seats, a folding rear bench, LizardSkin insulation, microsuede
headliner, Ididit column, Moto-Lita wheel, AutoMeter gauges, Quik
Stik shifter, Old Air Products Hurricane air conditioning, power
windows and locks, and a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo with Focal
subwoofer. The build has under 600 miles since completion and is
offered with restoration records and a car cover.
