This 1979 Ford F-150 custom pickup is powered by a rebuilt
5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine coated in Titanium Blue Cerakote and
paired with an automatic transmission and 4x4 transfer case that
have been resealed and Cerakote-finished. The engine is cooled by
an aluminum radiator and 16-inch brushless cooling fan and exhales
through dual exhaust with an X-pipe and Flowmaster Flow FX
mufflers, with catalytic converters retained. A full frame-off
restoration included sandblasting the frame and coating it in
chassis epoxy, while the body was stripped and refinished in Ford
Azure Gray Metallic. The rebuilt 9-inch rear axle was stripped,
coated in black chassis epoxy and fitted with 3.50 gears and a
limited-slip differential, and the front Dana 44 received similar
treatment, along with new locking hubs. The truck rides on a 4-inch
lift with new shocks and suspension bushings, and power is
delivered through Vision 17-inch beadlock wheels wrapped in 35-inch
Mickey Thompson Baja Legend tires. Stopping is handled by a Wilwood
master cylinder with 8-inch booster and new brakes throughout.
Comfort and convenience features include a Vintage Air
climate-control system, Ididit tilt steering column, stereo system
with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, and a backup
camera. The custom seat is built and upholstered in Fog Gray and
plaid fabric, with matching door panels and new seat belts
installed throughout. Dakota Digital gauges are integrated to
communicate with the Coyote engine management, and automatic
deploying power running boards aid entry and exit. The bed is
coated in gray Raptor liner with body-color paint underneath, and
the cab received new smoked glass all around, a new windshield and
replacement weatherstripping and seals.
