Powered by a rebuilt 930 3.3-liter turbo engine producing 425hp,
this 1982 Porsche 911 SC Slant-Nose cabriolet conversion underwent
a complete restoration completed in 2019. The restoration was
performed primarily by Porsche specialist Bill Rudtner of South
Shore Performance in Freeport, NY, with additional work by Porsche
expert Peter Potzinger of Carrera Car Shop/Potzinger Rewerks in
Huntington, NY. The car was fully disassembled and rebuilt, with
only components in excellent condition reused and all others
replaced with new old stock or OEM parts, including select custom
upgrades. The body was refinished in 1968 Porsche Slate Gray (color
code 6801) and exhibits consistent panel alignment and a fully
detailed undercarriage. The 3.3-liter Turbo engine was rebuilt with
performance enhancements that included a Motronic camshaft with 964
cam grind, MSD coil, upgraded one-bar spring with rebuilt Porsche
wastegate, competition valve job, rebuilt K27 hybrid turbo,
adjustable warm-up regulator, 993 vacuum-activated pop-off valve,
and a Fabspeed intercooler and intake system designed to achieve
full boost at approximately 2,500 rpm. Supporting components
include a restored Bosch CDI ignition, upgraded RSR-style oil
cooler and Billy Boat stainless-steel header and exhaust system
with heat exchangers. Power is delivered through a fully rebuilt
930 4-speed manual transmission with a Porsche OEM limited-slip
differential, converted to a short bell housing configuration by
Patrick Motorsport and equipped with taller first, second and
fourth gears for improved boost retention between shifts. A new 930
Sachs sport clutch assembly was installed with a heavy-duty Stage 1
pressure plate, forged aluminum cover, iron friction plate and
triple-drive straps. The suspension and chassis were rebuilt using
Elephant Racing's 930 Sport Restoration Package, which includes
Bilstein HD shocks and struts, turbo tie rods, 21mm and 28mm
torsion bars, an adjustable front strut brace and sway bar, and all
new bushings, camber plates, rack spacer bump steer kit and ball
joints. The braking system was completely restored with a rebuilt
master cylinder, new brake lines, restored 911S aluminum calipers,
cross-drilled rotors and modern brake pads, with both rear wheel
hub assemblies replaced. The interior features power windows and
functional air conditioning. The restoration included full
mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment with documentation and
receipts. It has been driven 3,256 miles since completion of the
restoration. CARFAX shows mileage inconsistency on 10/09/1990 and
05/14/2020; and Not Actual Mileage title issued on 09/08/2020 and
07/31/2025.
