This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible known as "Midnight
Blue" shows 408 miles since completion and is powered by a
high-performance crate 5.7-liter Ram Jet electronic fuel-injection
engine that is visually like the original fuel-injected unit,
paired with a 4L80E automatic transmission. The custom
stainless-steel exhaust system features headers, ceramic coating,
MagnaFlow mufflers and a rear-exit design. Built by Pinkee's Rod
Shop, a builder that has earned multiple national honors -
including the Detroit Autorama Ridler Award, America's Most
Beautiful Roadster and the Goodguys Street Rod of the Year - the
car rides on a custom Art Morrison chassis equipped with a
four-link 9-inch rear end, an independent front suspension with
forged A-arms, coilover suspension and rack & pinion power
steering. Braking is provided by a Wilwood master cylinder with
Corvette brake calipers. The exterior has been subtly reshaped with
custom-built billet side pieces on the front fenders, a reshaped
front end and custom hand-built bumpers, along with a removable
hardtop. The interior features hand-fabricated metalwork throughout
the dash and center column, an Ididit tilt steering column, a
leather-wrapped Budnik steering wheel and Classic Instruments
gauges. Additional equipment includes Vintage Air climate control,
power windows, a Kenwood infotainment system with Bluetooth,
SiriusXM and GPS, an electric-release trunk and an Odyssey Extreme
AGM battery with a disconnect switch.
