This 1929 Ford custom coupe is powered by a 270ci HEMI Super Red
Ram engine with a 4-barrel carburetor, paired with a B&M Turbo
350 automatic transmission and a Dutchman Motorsports quick-change
rear end. This custom 1929 Ford was built as a tribute to early
hot-rodders. It features Lincoln front brakes and black steelie
wheels for a traditional appearance. The chassis has been heavily
modified, including pinched and narrowed crossmembers, a Magnum
axle with a 4-inch drop, Posies transverse leaf springs front and
rear, a So-Cal hairpin radius rod, and a batwing kit. The body,
modified by Pinkee's Rod Shop, includes a 3.5-inch front drop and
3-inch rear drop with a metal-finished cowl, all finished in DuPont
Cadillac Quicksilver paint accented in red to match the chassis and
engine. The interior features red leather upholstery,
Stewart-Warner gauges, and a Limeworks steering wheel and column.
Additional details include Guide 682C commercial headlights,
vintage taillights, a Painless wiring harness and a polished
stainless-steel exhaust. This custom Ford received Builder's Choice
and Real Hot Rod awards at Goodguys Colorado, the only time it was
shown.
