This car was handcrafted into a re-creation of Carroll Shelby's
1965 Factory Five Daytona Coupe race car with no expense spared. It
is powered by a 302ci small-block Ford engine that has been bored
.30 over and fitted with Weber stacked fuel injection, GT40 heads,
a Ford E303 camshaft, ceramic-coated race headers feeding the
correct side-exit exhaust, and "COBRA Powered by Ford" valve
covers. Power is routed through a Tremec TR-3550 5-speed manual
transmission with an upgraded clutch, and stopping power comes from
four-wheel disc brakes. The interior features black leather bucket
seats with Simpson harnesses, color-matched metal door panels and
dash, a dash-mounted ignition, the correct shifter and a Shelby
wood-rimmed steering wheel. Carroll Shelby's signature is displayed
on the passenger side of the dash. Comfort features include power
steering and air conditioning. Finished in Sapphire Blue Pearl with
Wimbledon White racing stripes, the exterior includes correct
headlight and taillight lenses, a Le Mans-style rear spoiler,
racing-style aluminum fuel filler and Halibrand-style alloy wheels
with spinners wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. This is a
high-end, fully street-legal build dedicated to one of the most
famous American race cars of all time, showing only 5,400 miles
since completion. **TITLE AS 1965 SHELBY DAYTONA REPLICA**
