This 1980 Auburn 874 Dual-Cowl Phaeton was manufactured by the
Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Company in Broken Arrow, OK, under Glenn
Pray's direction. It is powered by a 460ci Ford V8 engine paired
with an automatic transmission, air conditioning and power
steering. It carries the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg manufacturer
nameplate, with production details confirmed by ACD. One of only 18
examples produced, the vehicle remains in well-preserved, mostly
original unrestored condition. It was previously part of Wally
Rank's collection of classic automobiles and was driven in the 1982
Milwaukee Brewers Post-World Series Parade by John Rank, with
Brewers manager Harvey Kuenn and his wife Audry as passengers. In
1997, the car was purchased by Bob Uecker, World Series champion,
entertainer and Hall of Fame broadcaster, who received the Ford C.
Frick Award in 2003.
