This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible is powered by a
Chevrolet crate LS3 6.2-liter 436hp V8 engine backed by a 4L65E
4-speed automatic transmission. This four-year build was completed
by Joe Peck Customs in November 2023. This California example was
one of the 9,670 Corvettes produced for the model year and retains
its original body and body panels. Sitting on a Roadster Shop
chassis with independent front and rear suspension, it includes
aluminum control arms and spindle assembly, as well as power rack &
pinion steering. Front and rear sway bars are added to this Satin
Black powder-coated chassis that has 14-inch Baer disc brakes all
around. It also features a Rick's custom gas tank and a Mattson
custom radiator. The exterior is finished in a Sunset Gold Metallic
with Oyster White coves. This car rolls on Schott custom-built
19-inch wheels painted in a subtle Titanium to match the body
color, which are wrapped in Nitto 555 tires. The custom interior by
award-winning designer Albert Lara features Oyster White leather
that was sourced to wrap the seats and door panels, while the dash
was wrapped in a Light Gold leather. The interior also features
power windows, a Vintage Air system, custom seatbelts, a Sparco
steering wheel, Ididit steering column and Dakota Digital gauges
that fit perfectly inside the original gauge cove. The original
stainless console pieces were restored, and Mercedes-Benz carpet
was used to create a soft and quiet experience in the cockpit. The
sale includes a bound photo book that shows the progression of the
build.
