This 2021 Ford Shelby GT500KR is powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine rated at 900hp, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. CSM No. 21KR0037 is one of 60 GT500KRs produced for 2021. Shelby American announced the return of the GT500KR - King of the Road - in December 2021 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Shelby American with a limited run of 60 post-title conversion packages available per year for 2020-22 GT500s. This example represents one of those 60 built. The GT500KR is equipped with a Shelby by Whipple 3.8-liter polished supercharger, a high-volume supercharger intercooler and heat exchangers, and an open cold-air intake system. Exhaust gases exit through a Shelby by Borla cat-back exhaust system. Shelby recalibrated the MagneRide suspension and added caster-camber plates, ride height-adjustable front and rear springs, and Shelby-spec front and rear sway bars. The braking system features Brembo four-wheel disc brakes with red-painted calipers. Power is delivered through performance half-shafts and extended, hardened wheel studs with Shelby-spec lug nuts for improved drivetrain durability. This GT500KR rides on Shelby one-piece 6061-T6 forged aluminum wheels with a brushed finish measuring 20x11 inches in the front and 20x11.5 inches in the rear, fitted with performance-spec tires.
