This 1969 Ford Mustang convertible, originally a California car, is
powered by a rebuilt 302ci V8 engine with a .030-inch overbore,
balanced and blueprinted assembly, flat-top pistons, aluminum
heads, roller camshaft, roller lifters, roller rocker arms, Tri-Y
headers, Edelbrock intake and a 600-cfm carburetor. Cooling is
managed by an aluminum radiator with a temperature-controlled
electric fan. The transmission has been rebuilt with heavy-duty
clutch packs. The wiring harness has been replaced with an updated
kit featuring an expanded-capacity fuse block, and the factory
warning-light instrument cluster has been replaced with a new
speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge and
voltmeter; the original gauge assembly accompanies the car.
Exterior lighting, including front turn signals, side markers and
backup lights, has been replaced. The car retains its original
wheels with beauty rings and hubcaps, and the front and rear
bumpers have been replaced. A Marti Report confirms the car was
originally finished in Silver Jade with black vinyl deluxe bucket
seats and the Interior Decor Group; it is currently repainted in
Dark Wineberry with a dark red interior. Additional updates include
replacement door and top weatherstripping, a power top with renewed
hydraulic lines, a replacement dash pad, upgraded period-style
AM/FM radio with Bluetooth and USB, new well liner, replacement
heater and wiper motors, new alternator and heavy-duty suspension
with replaced shocks. The driver's-side rear floor pan also has
been replaced due to past weatherstrip deterioration.
