For Sale at Auction: 1955 Chevrolet Nomad in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This custom 1955 Chevrolet Nomad underwent a complete rotisserie, body-off, nut-and-bolt restoration, which was completed in 2018. It is powered by a 430hp LS3 crate engine setup with an S&P serpentine belt accessory drive system, exhaust headers, a chrome alternator and a compressor. The engine is mated to a new crate Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission feeding power to a Currie custom 3.50 gear True Trac rear axle. The engine compartment is finished off with a Be Cool aluminum cross-flow radiator system with dual SPAL fans and a custom firewall. The hood features billet hinges, while the rear lift gate has gas struts. The custom exhaust system is made from 2.5-inch stainless steel with an X-pipe and dual Borla mufflers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel Wilwood 4-piston calipers and drilled and slotted vented rotors. A Kugel hydraulic brake booster/clutch system is installed under the dash, and the parking brake is activated by an E-Stopp electric emergency brake. The electrical system is powered by American Autowire wiring with an Odyssey battery and shut-off switch, both mounted under the rear seat. The body was professionally restored to the stock condition, including the spare tire well, and was professionally painted in Corvette Velocity Yellow with a black powder-coated chassis. The complete interior shell was primed, painted and covered in extensive Dynamat insulation. The custom white leather interior is by JNG Creations. Inside, this wagon features yellow piping, a front bench seat, retractable seat belts and a Vintage Air climate-control system. A downsized stock steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit tilt steering column. The dash includes a stock gauge cluster, plus Classic Instrument gauges under the dash and a Hurst shifter for a retro '60s look. A modern Retrosound AM/FM/Bluetooth radio with rear Alpine speakers completes the interior. Its stance is provided by 2-inch drop spindles and 17x8 chrome American Racing wheels with Nitto tires. Both a California car cover and build photos are included.
