This 1993 Ford Mustang began life as a 5.0-liter LX model and has
since been professionally transformed into a highly detailed SVT
Cobra re-creation. Powering this Mustang is a new Ford Racing
5.4-liter SVT supercharged V8 engine paired with a TR6060 6-speed
manual transmission featuring carbon-fiber synchros, and an
upgraded 3.55 posi-traction rear end. Substantial performance gains
have been realized, with the new engine making 614hp and 604
ft/lbas of torque to the rear wheels. The new drivetrain alone
required over 500 labor hours in assembly. Finished in crisp white
paint over a restored body fitted with proper SVT Cobra components,
the car presents to a show-quality standard. The vehicle has been
comprehensively updated and modernized, including new suspension,
cooling, fuel and wiring systems. Steering has been upgraded with a
Flaming River rack & pinion setup using a Unisteer electric power
steering kit, providing modern precision and effortless control.
Stopping power is delivered by Wilwood forged brakes on all four
corners with drilled and slotted rotors, while 17-inch Weld Forged
wheels complete the aggressive, performance-oriented stance.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with Dakota Digital gauges and an
improved stereo system and refinements that elevate comfort and
functionality while preserving the Mustang's classic character. The
build is supported by more than CA$117,000 (US$83,000) in invoices
for mechanical work alone, in addition to restoration costs for the
paint, body and interior. Since completion, the vehicle has
accumulated 3,605 miles. Documentation includes a CARFAX Vehicle
History Report showing no accidents or damage, a binder of
invoices, a DYNOjet performance sheet, a Marti Report and a
detailed appraisal at US$105,000.
