This custom four-wheel-drive 1979 Ford Bronco is powered by a
rebuilt 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine mated to a rebuilt 6R80
automatic transmission with a rebuilt 205 transfer case. It was
rotisserie-restored by Minter Fab in Yakima, WA. The transmission
and transfer case are held in place by in-house-built tubular
crossmembers and the engine by custom in-house motor mounts. The
wiring harness is tucked up and out of sight for a clean engine
bay. A CVT front accessory drive spins the one-wire alternator, the
air conditioning and power steering pump. It has all-new custom
steering, along with hydro-boost four-wheel disc brakes. The
2.5-inch stainless exhaust leads to a Y pipe that transitions to a
single 3-inch pipe feeding a Street Max 18-inch muffler and then
exiting out the passenger rear corner of the truck. It is finished
in Destroyer Gray, and all the trim was refurbished in gloss black
powder-coating with a clearcoat to finish it off. The frame and the
axles were also powder-coated. All the suspension components were
replaced. Long-arm radius arms replaced the factory arms in the
front, and the entire truck rides on a 4-inch all-spring lift. The
body was mated back to the frame with all-new body bushings and
hardware. The interior is wrapped in dark navy blue with plaid
inserts and features custom front door panels along with custom
rear cargo area panels. Creature comforts include air conditioning,
heated high-back buckets seats, USB charging ports and digital
gauges with an HPS speedometer. An LED dome light and LED accent
lighting illuminates the custom center console and factory shifter
with ease. The stereo is a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto,
Apple CarPlay and GPS. All-new glass was installed front to back.
The side and rear glass were tinted at 30% before the glass was
installed for a clean finish. The top was smoothed out and finished
in a clean gloss black. This Bronco rides on a set of 35x12.5x15
BFG KM3 tires wrapped around a set of old-school Western Turbine
wheels coated in Destroyer Gray and black and topped off with an
original set of Western center caps. The exterior of this truck
also sports a spare-tire carrier, all-new lighting, and all-new
weatherstripping and seals.
