For Sale at Auction: 1979 Ford Bronco in Scottsdale, Arizona

Powered by a Gen 2 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine paired with a 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission with a manual-shift rocker switch, this custom 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT Chromatic Free Wheeling Edition was built by Vivid Retro Customs in Lakewood, CO, and underwent a two-year full frame-off restoration. The powertrain features a PBH Performance accessory drive system, PBH Performance ECM and harness, Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and a transmission cooler with an electric fan. Additional mechanical equipment includes a Red-Head steering gearbox, dual exhaust system and a dual-range transfer case with custom-length driveshafts. Stopping power comes from hydro-boost-assisted front and rear disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder and Hydratech hydro-boost system. The cabin is equipped with front bucket seats in red leather with patterned cloth inserts, a matching rear bench in red vinyl and cloth, Dakota Digital gauges, a Vintage Air climate-control system, red replacement carpeting, aftermarket pedal covers and a tilt steering column with the factory steering wheel. The sound system consists of a RetroSound stereo paired with AudioFrog speakers, a JL Audio subwoofer and a Kenwood amplifier, supported by all-new wiring. The body was disassembled, media-blasted and refinished in factory Candy Apple Red with new Chromatic Free Wheeling decals, while the frame was stripped and refinished in epoxy semi-gloss black. Bed-liner material was applied to the underside of the body and floor pan, and the exterior is completed with a black removable hardtop, matte black bumpers, Hella fog lamps, a drop-down tailgate, factory "Cactus Smasher" push bar and factory roll bar. It rides on a BDS 4-inch suspension lift with dual front shocks, front and rear sway bars, manually locking Warn front hubs and 15-inch ProComp wheels wrapped in 33x12.50-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires.
