Nicknamed "Texas Heat," this professionally built 1972 Chevrolet
C10 custom pickup is powered by an electronically fuel-injected LS3
V8 engine paired with a Stage 3 4L80E automatic transmission. It
took over three years of special engineering and meticulous
craftsmanship to complete. The chassis features a smoothed, boxed
and notched frame with a four-link rear air-ride setup managed by
an Air Lift Performance 3H system, and stopping power comes from
14-inch Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. It rides on
22x8.5-inch and 24x15-inch Schott Tomahawk billet wheels. Inside,
the truck is equipped with a custom-crafted metal dashboard housing
Dakota Digital HTX gauges with push start, a Snowden bench seat
upholstered in Relicate Wine custom leather with matching door
panels and headliner, and a Vintage Air climate-control system.
Exterior modifications include a molded and raked front end,
custom-built metal hood, shaved drip rails, a rolled rear roof
section, and a custom molded and shaved bed. This pickup has earned
multiple honors, including serving as a centerfold C10 feature in
Street Trucks magazine, winning C10 Nationals Custom Truck of the
Year in 2023, being recognized as a Battle in Bama Top Gun 10 in
2023, and receiving Best in Class and Best Individual Display
awards in 2024 at the Portland, OR, Roadster Show. **TITLED AS 1972
