This 2021 Ford Shelby GT500KR Widebody is powered by a supercharged
5.2-liter V8 engine backed by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic
transmission and configured with a Widebody Package developed and
installed by Shelby American in Las Vegas. Identified as CSM No.
21KR0038, it was specified by the former National Sales Manager of
Shelby American as the concept car that informed the modern "King
of the Road" platform and served as an early GT500KR used for
aerodynamic, suspension and widebody-fitment development during the
launch of the KR program. According to the accompanying
documentation, this car functioned as the fitment and design mule,
whose configurations helped define the final production GT500KR
specification. It is further noted as the only known KR equipped
with 21-inch rear wheels. Finished in Shadow Black, the exterior is
complemented by Lime Green brake calipers, with a matching Lime
Green roll cage, supercharger cover and interior accents that
visually link the car's performance hardware and interior
presentation. As one of 60 GT500KRs produced for the 2021 model
year, this example is accompanied by complete Shelby American build
documentation that details each stage of its transformation from
base GT500 into KR Widebody configuration, including records of its
use in development. An estimated 1,006 of those miles were
accumulated prior to delivery to Shelby American for conversion.
1,096 actual miles. From The Centre Pointe Collection.
