This custom 1970 Plymouth Barracuda nicknamed "Notorious" was
crafted by the renowned builder Rides by Kam. At the heart of this
vehicle is a Dodge R5/P7 NASCAR engine that delivers 900hp and can
rev up to 9,000 rpm. The engine setup features individual throttle
bodies to maximize performance. The engine is mated to a Super T10
4-speed manual transmission with a Tilton clutch setup, 9-inch full
floating rear end and a 35-spline axle. This Barracuda also has a
narrowed C6 Corvette front end paired with Roadster Shop parts,
four-link rear end and watts link, Floater differential with Tru
Trac and 3.5 gears. "Notorious" is equipped with 6-piston Wilwood
brakes up front and 4-piston in the rear and sits on Fox Ridetech
Shockwaves all round. It also has an Air Lift 3P air management
system with digital controls. The car's complete handmade custom
steel and leather interior features high-end components that
include Dakota Digital gauges. Custom-made one-off Sparco race
seats by Charlie Hutton provide exceptional comfort, accented by
red diamond stitching and luxurious Italian leather, and there is a
custom roll bar in the back. Finished in a striking Kalalua Green
color, this Barracuda has had its full body worked and has a
painted underbody with massive real wheel tubs. It rides on Billet
Specialties wheels, 20x8.5 up front and 22x12 at the rear, wrapped
in aggressive 275x30x20 front and 335x25x22 rear tires. "Notorious"
was showcased at the 2023 SEMA Show at The Meguiar's booth, was a
Goodguys Top 10 Finalist at SEMA and a finalist at SEMA for Battle
of the Builders, and has won many awards in Australia, including
Summernats, winning Top Elite car overall, top interior, top
bodywork and top paint.
