This 1967 Shelby GT500 is powered by an original 428ci Special
Interceptor V8 engine rated at 355hp, equipped with dual 4-barrel
carburetors feeding an aluminum intake manifold and paired with an
original Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and a correct Ford
9-inch rear differential. The car retains factory power steering
and front disc brakes. Delivered new in Nightmist Blue, it was
purchased in 1967 by Larry Tingle, a member of the Los Angeles
Dodgers organization. It features the correct fiberglass hood with
twin scoops, Shelby badging and trim, and all original fiberglass
components are present. The car rides on original 10-spoke Shelby
wheels. Original brightwork, lenses and exterior trim pieces remain
in place with light patina. The interior is an original black
deluxe cabin as specified on the Shelby order sheet, including the
wood-rim steering wheel, factory shifter, factory instrumentation,
door panels and seat upholstery. The original AM radio remains
installed and operational. According to the provided history, the
car is a three-owner example from new. Included documentation
consists of maintenance receipts, which support the long-term
preservation.
