This 1962 Chevrolet Nova custom convertible is powered by a 376ci
LSX B15 crate engine equipped with a 2.9-liter Whipple
supercharger, Brian Tooley Racing Stage 2 camshaft and Wegner
Motorsports accessory drive. The engine produces 900hp and is
paired with a 4L80 4-speed automatic transmission featuring a
Circle D converter and Strange driveshaft. Supporting components
include a CR Racing radiator with electric fans, custom CR Racing
intercoolers with trunk-mounted tank and pump, Wegner Motorsports
hidden-coil valve covers and a custom handmade intake with air
cleaners. This Nova features a TCI front and rear suspension
package with rack & pinion steering, Penske coilover shocks, and a
rear parallel 4-link system with a Ford 9-inch posi-traction rear
end and 3.70 gears. Braking is provided by Wilwood disc brakes
measuring 14 inches in the front and 13 inches in the rear, with a
Wilwood master cylinder. The car rides on Forgeline wheels, 18
inches in the rear and 17 inches in the front, wrapped in
performance tires. The chassis incorporates custom 2x3 frame rails
connecting a handmade structure with completely new floor pans,
trunk, drop-offs, quarters, doors, fenders, hood and rear trunk
section. It has a flush firewall and custom inner fenders. All
stainless around the windshield was TIG-welded and body-worked
smooth, with flush-mounted glass. The body is finished in BASF
Champagne paint with five coats of clear, complemented by
copper-plated and hand-sanded bumpers. The underside mirrors the
exterior finish, with the drivetrain painted in Brandywine with
matte clear. The interior features a custom handmade dashboard by
Greg Fleury of Fleury Hot Rods, wrapped in distressed leather. The
removable roll bar was hand-stitched over 60 hours and integrated
seamlessly into the design. Procar seats were reshaped and fitted
with four-point seat belts. The cabin includes a custom center
console with push-button start, Vintage Air climate control, Holley
digital dash with LED indicators and integrated shift light.
Additional features include power windows, smoked side glass,
Oracle headlights, integrated grille turn signals, Detroit Speed
wipers and Kindig-It Design door handles. A custom power
convertible top completes the design, with a magnetized and
snap-fit boot to protect the finish. The custom 3-inch TIG-welded
exhaust, BMRS fuel lines and billet hood hinges further showcase
the craftsmanship. Build quality reflects more than seven years to
build and 5,000 hours of fabrication and design work, with all
documentation and build receipts included.
