This 1947 Cadillac Series 62 custom convertible is powered by an
LS1 V8 engine equipped with FiTech fuel injection, RPM stainless
headers and Flowmaster mufflers, paired with a 4L60E automatic
transmission shifted through a Lokar shifter. Built on a
custom-fabricated frame with 18 body mounts, the chassis
incorporates a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with
rack & pinion steering and a triangulated four-link rear suspension
locating a 9-inch rear end with 3.08 gears. AccuAir air suspension
is installed front and rear for adjustable ride height, and Wilwood
disc brakes are fitted at all four corners. The exterior features a
deep blue finish, shaved door handles, shaved badges and removed
mud guards while retaining select original trim elements. The body
was stripped to bare metal during restoration and reworked for
consistent panel fit, with all glass and rubber replaced. A 2-inch
chopped top, freshly show-chromed brightwork (including bumpers,
grille and sombrero hubcaps) and 16-inch Wheelsmith steel wheels
with Diamond Back Classic wide whitewall tires complete the
exterior presentation. The interior is trimmed in white leather
with diamond-tuck stitching and blue accents, covering Glide seats
and a full-length console over blue carpeting. Features include
white Dakota Digital gauges, a refurbished factory-style steering
wheel, a Bluetooth-capable audio system configured for a
period-correct appearance and a Mercedes black canvas convertible
top with a white leather boot cover. The engine bay is detailed
with Wegner valve covers and accessories for a clean installation.
