This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible is powered by a new
GM Gen V LT1 6.2-liter direct-injected V8 engine paired with a
4L60E automatic overdrive transmission. The powertrain is managed
by a GM Connect and Cruise wiring harness. This vehicle rides on an
Art Morrison chassis equipped with adjustable coilover shocks and
adjustable ride height. Braking is handled by Wilwood disc brakes
with 6-piston calipers, and steering is provided by a rack & pinion
system. The exterior features a new convertible top assembly and
custom Schott wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Series tires. The
body was finished in polyester primer and coated in PPG Cashmere
basecoat/clearcoat paint. The result is a precision-built Resto-Mod
combining modern performance with classic styling. The interior is
finished in Linen leather and features custom reclining seats
designed for additional head and legroom. Additional equipment
includes Dakota Digital gauges, a Vintage Air climate-control
system, power windows and a full American Autowire harness. The
stereo system includes Bluetooth capability integrated into a unit
designed to resemble the original 1958 Wonder Bar radio. This
custom convertible combines an updated LT1 powertrain, modern
chassis engineering and refined interior features, all integrated
into a professionally executed frame-off build designed for
performance and drivability.
