This 1971 Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne Super custom short-bed
four-wheel-drive pickup is built by JPS Customs and wears Build
Badge No. 28. It is powered by a GM Performance ZZ 632ci big-block
V8 crate engine producing 1,004hp and 876 ft/lbs of torque on pump
gas. Power is delivered through a built 4L80E Hughes Performance
4-speed automatic transmission and a billet 2-speed Atlas transfer
case, with Tom Wood's driveshafts and Currie axles. Exhaust gases
exit through custom-built Stainless Works headers and a 3-inch
mandrel-bent Borla exhaust system. The engine bay features a smooth
firewall with hidden wiring and core support bolt deletes for a
clean presentation. This truck sits on a Roadster Shop RS4 chassis
equipped with four-link suspension and long-travel Fox coilover
shocks at all four corners. Braking is handled by
hydro-boost-assisted Baer RS4 brakes with large rotors front and
rear. The chassis has been coated in Charcoal Gray Cerakote Satin
finish. The body was rotisserie-restored and painted in a two-tone
Jet Black and Linen White basecoat/clearcoat finish, hand-sanded
and polished to a show-quality appearance. Trim includes upper and
lower wood-grain moldings and new smoked glass, weatherstripping,
felts, rubbers and brightwork. The bed floor features dark walnut
wood finished with satin clearcoat and boltless polished strips.
Fuel is filled through an LS Fab Easy Fill hidden behind the
taillight, and the fuel tank has been relocated outside the cab.
Soft-closing doors feature Trique Altman latches. The custom
interior combines a high-grain material with French seams and
Chocolate suede-wrapped headliner and roof. Front buddy bucket
seats include an optional center console that folds to form a third
seat, and rear compartments offer additional stowage. The
wood-grain dash and door panels are inspired by the Cheyenne Super
package. Comfort features include a tilt column with half-wrapped
Billet Specialties steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, column
shifter and retro stereo with hidden kick-panel speakers. The cabin
is climate-controlled by a Vintage Air Gen V system with Restomod
Air vents. The cab floor and firewall were coated in brown Raptor
Liner and lined with Kilmat for sound and heat insulation. The
custom-tailored German square-weave carpet from Relicate Leather
includes matching floor mats with heel pad. **TITLED AS 1971 CHEV
