41,000 miles. 1 of 669 Mercury S55 convertibles produced in 1966.
Delivered new to district sales office 84 which reflects Ford Motor
Company home office and is likely why it's equipped with nearly
every factory option. This is an unrestored car with its original
interior and still retains much of its original paint. Powered by
its original "Q" code 428 cubic inch "Super Marauder" V8 engine
with dual exhaust and factory rated @ 345 horsepower. Previously in
the Tom Gerrard Collection of top quality cars. A remarkable and
highly original S55 convertible. Options include air conditioning,
power windows, power mini-vent windows, buckets seats, center
console, power driver seat, power door locks, AM/FM stereo, power
antenna, rare factory 8-track tape player, tilt steering wheel,
cruise control, power top, automatic headlight dimmer, tinted glass
and wire wheel covers. Excellent paint, new top in 2022, very good
original chrome, excellent glass and trim. The interior is all
original and excellent as is the trunk compartment which retains
the original trunk mat. The spare tire and jack are in place and
the BF Goodrich Silvertown spare tire matches the 4 tires on the
car. The engine compartment was carefully detailed to maintain
originality. We haven't tried the 8-track player but we have
checked everything else and it's all in working order including
cold a/c, all dash lights work, horn, signals, windows and
cigarette lighter - all in working order. This big Mercury runs and
drives excellent.
