*1971 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup*In the 2000s when American
Muscle Car values shot through the roof, many hot rodders and
customizers could no longer justify altering these collector cars.
It was at this time that the rise in popularity for modifying
trucks really began to take hold and in recent years, the classic
truck market has risen to show the widespread appreciation for the
vehicles. Providing a perfect blend of classic style with usability
that isn't available in coupes or sedans, people have come to
appreciate trucks as a classic that you can still use- and the
Chevrolet C10 is at the top of everyone's list.This 1971 C10
stepside is a great example finished in Medium Blue with a white
roof. Under the care of a previous owner, this car was treated to a
restoration, where it was kept largely stock, but did receive some
nice to have upgrades as well. With its lowered ride height, this
truck fits the muscle car ethos, sitting on a set of 15-inch
Corvette Rallye wheels, wrapped in Radial T/A tires. Up front, a
cowl induction hood helps the engine breath a bit better, while in
the rear an oak wood bed floor has been fitted along with polished
hardware. The interior has been upgraded from a bench seat, to a
pair of bucket seats sourced from a Blazer, with a storage console
between them. Both seats and the door cards are wrapped in blue
vinyl and the seats feature blue houndstooth inserts, while the
dashboard is painted in the truck's body color. An AM radio sits in
the dashboard, and in front of the driver, a Comfort Grip 3-spoke
steering wheel from a Chevelle or Camaro SS has been installed.
Perhaps most crucially, the truck has been fitted with modern air
conditioning, power steering and power disc brakes so it is
pleasant to drive - even in the summer heat.Under the hood sits a
350 cubic inch V8, with some mild hot rodding done to it. Under the
billet air cleaner sits a 4bbl Quadrajet carburetor on an Edelbrock
intake, and an HEI Ignition system is behind it. A set of jet
coated headers lead to a true dual exhaust, and an oversized
aluminum radiator with electric fans keeps everything cool. This
engine is connected to a TH350 3-speed automatic gearbox which is
shifted on the column, and sends power back to a 12-bolt rear end.A
classic truck is great for so many reasons, they look fantastic,
are fun to drive and can actually be useful around the house! This
C10 Stepside is really a perfect classic for the person who wants
to use their vehicle - built with reliability in mind, this truck
runs and drives great, but retains that wonderful C10 shape people
fell in love with more than 50 years ago.*Key Features* * Mid-2010s
