If you've ever wanted to ride around town in a supercharged hot
rod, here's your chance with this 1968 Plymouth Road Runner Pro
Street. Its beautiful long-body style and Bronze Metallic paint job
should have you sold, but add in the supercharged big-block, and
this will knock you off your feet. Although it's a pro street, it
generally keeps its stock appearance with stock wheels, chrome
bumpers, and a black vinyl top. The rear tires are a little wider,
but nothing that requires aftermarket tubbing. It's a very nice
mild pro street.
The black interior is in good shape. It has Corbeau front seats
installed, and the back seats are original. The dashboard is in
good shape, and the center console is a new Repop setup. The door
panels, carpet, and headliner are clean and in good shape. For the
gauge cluster, Dakota Digital gauges have been installed and look
good. A retro-style radio is installed and offers AM/FM/Bluetooth.
In the glove box, there is a Terminator X controller and a handheld
tuner for someone to play with. And to finish off the interior,
there is a Hurst shifter just waiting for someone to slam some
gears.
The engine bay is super clean. There is plenty of chrome, an
aluminum radiator, and an Ultima red top battery. The focal point
is the unmistakable supercharger sitting on top of the 472 HEMI V8.
To control fuel more accurately, the HEMI uses a Holley Terminator
X fuel injection setup. This engine combination is paired with an
A833 4-speed manual transmission and connects to a Strange Dana 60
rear axle with a 3.54 gear ratio. This Plymouth has a stock-style
suspension with subframe connectors because it needs the support.
Fifteen-inch Magnum 500 wheels sit at all four corners and are
wrapped in front BFG 235/70R15 tires and rear Hoosier 29x12.50x15
tires. Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes bring this pro street
to a stop. And for that incredible Mopar sound, the 472 breathes
through long-tube TTI headers, 3-inch dual exhaust, and MagnaFlow
mufflers.
