The 1969 Corvette was similar to the all new 68 model with just a few noticeable changes . The door handle went to a simpler style without the push button. Stingray (now one word) appeared on the fender and back-up lights were incorporated into rear tail light set-up. A few other refinements occurred but one thing thankfully remained....... The Engine line up. The Big Block 427 remained. Our 1969 Corvette Stingray here has the 427/390 horsepower engine (NOM) with a 4-speed transmission. We acquired this ground pounding big block from the daughter of the previous owner who restored this car. Unfortunately, the history was lost due to his passing however, the quality of the restoration is excellent. All we know is he started with a car he brought up from North Carolina. The underside of this car is clean with no rust or corrosion. The green standard interior is all new and the fit and finish are first rate. The car is finished in the original shade of code 983 Fathom Green and looks excellent. All chrome and brightwork in fresh and new, Rolling on red line radial tires with the original 15X8 rally wheels. All wheel trim is fresh and new. The big block motor is not the original but wears all correct components including aluminum intake and carb. and exhaust manifold. Options would include code AO1 tinted glass. Code J50 Power Brakes. Code L36 427/390 H.P. motor. code M20 4-Speed Transmission. Code N37 Tilt/Tele Steering Column. Code N40 Power Steering. Code PT6 Red Stripe Tires. Code TJ2 Fender Gill Trim. Aftermarket Custom Auto Sound AM/FM Stereo System with Cassette. Everything works as it should including the wiper door.
