The Corvette is known as "America's favorite sports car" due to its
ability to deliver proven power and performance in a production
model. Chevrolet takes a lot of pride in these cars and not only do
they receive the standard durability testing all GM products get
but are also subjected to additional testing including 250 miles of
autocross, 24 hours on the racetrack and top speed test at
wide-open throttle. This is all done to insure these cars live up
to the performance people have come to expect with the Corvette
name. This 2002 belongs to the C5 generation and has been extremely
well cared for since new. It comes with some extra modifications
and needs nothing. It is painted in the popular Millennium Yellow
that is in great condition. This version came with a removable top
and this car has both the smoked glass and painted to match
versions. So for very minimal work you can totally change up the
look of the exterior. All of the electrical works properly
including the iconic hidden headlights. Below the lights the
original grill holes have been filled with custom mesh pieces. It
also has had a backup camera added in the rear which is a great
improvement for visibility. It rides on a set of 5 spoke Corvette
wheels wrapped with Firestone Firehawk tires.
Under the hood is the 5.7L LS1 motor that offers plenty of power.
In fact, these motors are so popular they have found their place in
the car customizing world where the LS is a go-to engine choice.
Paired with the motor is a 6 speed manual transmission that moves
through the gears smoothly. The car sounds great through Borla S
type custom exhaust that exits out of the rear in chrome tips.
Other nice mechanical upgrades includes the Johnny O'Connell rear
sway bar.
The interior of it is in excellent condition throughout and done in
a custom two tone Yellow and Black with Yellow stitching. It has
dual high back bucket seats which are nicely upholstered and sit to
each side of the center console. The manual shifter has a custom
Yellow knob and Yellow/Black boot. You will note various Yellow
accents throughout which are a nice touch. A Pioneer stereo system
has been added with Bose speakers, a JL Audio sub and amp which
sounds great.
The car comes with a clean Texas title as well as a car cover.
These are super fun cars and this one has a few extras that set it
apart from the rest.
