Gateway Classic Cars Tampa Showroom is ecstatic to digitally
present this special 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. Well, well, well, what
do we have here? In the late 1960s, legendary builders and tuners
such as Don Yenko, Nickey Chevrolet, and Baldwin Motion built a
number of incredible Corvettes, Nova's, Chevelles, and Camaro's
that dominated both street and strip. To celebrate its wildly
successful thirty five year run, Berger Chevrolet of Michigan
teamed with Hot Rod Magazine to build a number of limited edition
fourth generation Camaros. Each Camaro would be a little different
than the next. Special paint colors and combos with different level
performance packages made each Berger Hot Rod Edition Camaro
unique. The cars were sent from Berger Chevrolet to GMMC General
Motors Motorsports Group where they were finessed, blessed, and
sent back to Berger for sale. This particular HRE is #1967 meaning
it could be the very first Berger HRE Camaro made. The cars were
not given a production number such as 1, 2, 3, but were given a
year as there identification number 1967, 1968, 1969 etc. LSX
Magazine stated, "The Hot Rod Edition Berger Camaros are among the
most rare and special 4th gen Camaro's produced." Unit #1967 is a
very special car. It has the 435hp Phase II performance package,
and was the only black HRE Camaro with T-Tops. Chevrolet and Camaro
collectors pay attention! This is one rare and highly collectible
4th gen we are talking about! Here is a link if you want to know
more about the HRE Camaros and #1967 red HRE recently sold at Mecum
for over $60k so you better hurry to Gateway Tampa!
