'69 PONTIAC FIREBIRD California car, 400 CI HO V-8 engine, 4-barrel
carburetor, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Factory correct
code 72 Carousel Red exterior, Parchment vinyl interior, which also
matches its build sheet. A striking representation of Pontiac's
late 1960s heritage, this 1969 Firebird, the last year for the
first generation, is finished in the iconic Carousel Red, which was
the same hue made famous by the '69 GTO Judge. This car has
recently been restored top to bottom, with numerous visual and
mechanical aspects being restored to today's refined standard. This
Firebird was ordered with the W66 option, which includes a 400 CI
V-8 engine with a 4-barrel carb, chrome air cleaner, dual exhaust,
and a 3-speed manual transmission. NOTE: The car was upgraded to a
Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and has a 400 Pontiac engine,
but is not the original numbers-matching engine. Other
important/features on this Firebird include power front disc
brakes, power steering, dual exhaust with XLERATOR mufflers (Sounds
great), a new gas tank, and triple chromed front and back bumpers.
The radio does not work. It does have functional windshield wipers,
brand new turn signal housing and lenses, new quarter panel marker
lights, new badging, and script throughout the car. Heat works, and
the car is equipped with original "Deluxe Seatbelts" and new
reproduction "Firebird" embossed front (carpet) mats. The
drivability of the Firebird is exceptional. It doesn't veer side to
side like some classics do, it truly feels natural and tight. The
exhaust sounds fantastic, steering and braking are fluent, it runs
great, the tires are also in good shape, with deep tread. There is
absolutely no doubt that this car will turn heads. The odometer
reads 38,729 miles. The restoration appears to have far less miles.
