This 1986 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic is an extremely nice and very
hard to find rust free and solid Jimmy (K5 Blazer) that spent its
life in Arizona before being bought by the last owner from
Wisconsin who used it as a Summer Toy and always stored it indoors.
We just don't find them like this anymore.. It is a very original
truck with just a few upgrades/updates. The body on this Jimmy is
very clean and straight, The Doeskin Tan and Black paint appears to
be all original and shows great with only some minor patina here
and there from the Arizona sun. All of the chrome and trim is
original and nice. The underside of this truck is amazing clean and
obviously rust free.
The interior is awesome! The seats, carpet, and headliner were all
redone and look like new. The dash is original and has a dash cover
on it because under it is cracked and the original would need to be
replaced. The door panels, dash bezel, and steering wheel are
original and still nice. The headlights, taillights, brakelights,
and turn signals are all working. This truck has tilt wheel and
working cruise control. The windshield wipers, horn, and the
original radio works. The manual windows and manual rear window
work like they should. The heat and AC work great too.
Mechanically this Jimmy excellent!! It has a 5.7L 350 V8 GM
GoodWrench engine that was installed and has around 70,000 miles on
it (we have receipt). It was professionally installed and it looks
factory. The truck originally came with a 305 V8. Within the last
5,000 miles this vehicle had the Carb rebuilt (Quadrajet), full
tune-up, new fuel pump, new alternator, new belts, new hoses, and
new AC Compressor with AC converted to R134A. The transmission is
the 700R4 Automatic that shifts great and was rebuilt around 30,000
miles ago. It was recently serviced as well. It is mated to the
np208 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. It has a 10
Bolt rear axle that was rebuilt and had an Eaton Posi Unit
installed. It has 3.73 gears and we have the receipt. The front
axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears. It has a 4 Inch Rancho
Lift Kit with Rancho shocks to make room for the General Grabber 33
Inch All Terrain Tires on a nice set of chrome rims.
