Cruisn Classics is proud to present this 1961 Ford Thunderbird that represents the first year of the iconic "Bullet Bird" body style, produced only from 1961 to 1963. Finished in black, the paint isn't perfect, but it still presents well overall and highlights the car's sleek, forward-leaning lines. It sits on stock wheels wrapped in Coker Classic whitewall tires, giving it an authentic early-'60s presence that stands out anywhere it goes.
Inside, the T-Bird shows very nicely with black leather-wrapped seats, clean black carpeting, and a tight, well-kept headliner. The dash pad has a small crack on the passenger side, but the rest of the interior presents very well overall. The power windows work great, all exterior lights function as they should (with the exception of the rear seat dome light), and even the radio still plays-making this a comfortable and functional classic to cruise in.
Under the hood is Ford's strong 390ci FE V8 paired with the 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. The car has been well maintained mechanically, with recent updates including a new distributor, plugs, wires, fuel pump, brake booster, master cylinder, and rubber brake lines. The heat also works impressively well. This first-year Bullet Bird is a stylish, well-kept classic that's ready to be enjoyed.
